Outreach Programs

Kendal strives to be a good neighbor and citizen of the greater Oberlin community. Non-profit organizations can use our meeting rooms when available. We are also happy to offer fitness center programs to area residents. For a modest fee, both water and land classes are available.

The Volunteer Clearinghouse

Established by residents Joe and Betty Verlie, helps to match residents with organizations for volunteer activities. Betty was recognized for her efforts on behalf of the community at the AOPHA 2004 conference. If your organization would like to work with Kendal volunteers, please contact us.

Neighbor to Neighbor

A joint project with Oberlin Seniors, this program helps older adults by making sure their homes are safe and accessible. Kendal residents are often involved in the process of inspecting these homes and making sure appropriate repairs and/or modifications are made.
