New Director of Clinical Services at Kendal at Oberlin

Shenell Hinton has joined Kendal at Oberlin as the new Director of Clinical Services.

As Director of Clinical Services, she will assume the role of Director of Nursing for Stephens Care Center, with oversight for the Health and Wellness Clinic operations.

Shenell recently served as Chief Nurse Executive/Chief Nursing Officer for Cleveland Clinic Rehabilitation Hospitals in Beachwood, Akron, and Avon, Ohio.

Director of Clinical Services - Shenell HintonHer successful nursing career has included Director of Nursing Providence Care Center in Sandusky; Director of Nursing Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky as Director of Nursing for their acute inpatient rehabilitation facility, and then as director of both inpatient rehabilitation and case management.

Shenell received her BSN from Kent State University. She is also a Registered Nurse, Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse and a Certified Case Manager. She is currently working on her Master of Science in Nursing and Master of Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University, expecting to graduate in 2020.

She is highly qualified, having numerous career achievements, in health care and most recently received the 2018 National Council of Negro Women Impact Award, recognizing Shenell’s impact in the healthcare field for leadership in nursing.

Shenell resides in Lorain, with her family.
