July 26, 2022 —Often, the first people you see when you visit Kendal at Oberlin are the friendly staff at the front reception desk near the main entrance. The front desk is a hub for information, serving residents, visitors and staff seven days a week.
We’ve had some changes recently. Veronica Toth accepted a new position in the Facility Services department, and Sue Rollins retired after 20 years as a receptionist with Kendal. Congratulations to you both and thank you for all of the help you’ve given to so many people over the years.
Welcome Karen Wright and Michelle Vincent!
Karen joined the front desk team in January, 2022. She and her daughter have two cats and a dog at home. Of course, the front desk is also a favorite stop for pets who know that the team keeps a supply of treats to share (if human companions approve). So Karen will soon get to know many of the canine residents of the community too.
Michelle joined the team in June, 2022. She enjoys volunteering for City Fresh and as a Stop Manager for Oberlin. As she lives in Oberlin, you may see Michelle riding her bicycle to Kendal when the weather cooperates.
Rounding out the team, Ginny Wolf continues to cover holidays and weekends when needed. Ginny has been our PRN (as needed) receptionist since 1997. And we may see Sue back now and then for brief periods in the future.
