Community Overview

Vibrant Community Life Creates New Opportunities Every Day

Oberlin is a walkable small college town, also home to a world-famous Conservatory of Music. Our relationship with the college encourages intergenerational relationships and offers easy access to music, art and lifelong learning. Combine that with the cultural and metropolitan resources of nearby Cleveland, and you’ll find a wide variety of enriching opportunities.

The community’s resident-led lifestyle encourages engagement, purpose and ongoing involvement in lifelong interests. Dozens of committees shape daily resident life, planning programs like concerts, classes and activities, as well as supportive groups where neighbors help each other. Residents are as active or as quiet as they desire at Kendal at Oberlin. The community supports a range of individual lifestyles.

Our comprehensive approach to continuing care creates the ideal environment for aging in place, creating a culture that encourages wellness and healthy aging. Residents enjoy the active lifestyle of Kendal at Oberlin, as well as the peace-of-mind that comes from knowing high-quality health care services will be available when they are needed.
