Learn More About the North Pleasant Connection
Students will receive free room and board at Kendal in exchange for a specified number of service hours per week. The room features one bedroom in duplex housing adjacent to our campus. With two bedrooms on each side, Kendal has room for up to four students.
Each side of the home includes one full bath, a living room, a dine-in kitchen with appliances, and a washer and dryer. Complimentary WiFi is included. In addition to the free housing, meals in our dining rooms are provided at no cost to program participants.
North Pleasant volunteers will have the opportunity to connect with our Kendal at Oberlin residents in many meaningful ways. Students can join residents over a meal, relax in the lounge, read in the library, or visit each other in the many community spaces.
Kendal at Oberlin encourages North Pleasant Connection Program students to engage with residents informally. Student programs will be based on their learning objectives or required class curriculum. For more information about the North Pleasant Connection, contact Michele Tarsitano-Amato at 440-775-5890.
