Kendal at Oberlin is a vibrant life plan community, located less than one mile from Oberlin College and Conservatory in Ohio. Situated on 110+ acres, the property is home to 350 residents. The campus features apartments and cottages for independent living, all surrounded by walking paths and an accredited arboretum. The Stephens Care Center offers licensed person-centered care and includes assisted living, nursing care and a memory support neighborhood.

For Family and Friends of Residents
Kendal residents are welcome to invite any visitors they choose. Visitors to the Heiser Community Center (including the Stephens Care Center) are asked to sign in and wear the printed name badge on your clothing during your visit. You will find visitor stations (AccuShield) across from the Front Desk, and in the Friends Gallery area as you enter the Stephens Care Center. Contractors should check in at the Facility Services office.
Planning a Visit to Residents of Cottages and Apartments (Independent Living)
Family and friends of cottage or apartment residents can visit in cottages and apartments. Visitors can go directly to the cottage or apartment. Please use marked Visitor parking spaces. Links to download site diagrams are below the map image.

The Kendal Resale Shop is open to the public. Shoppers are welcome Wednesday through Saturday, from 11:00 AM to 5:00PM.
Visiting Residents of the Stephens Care Center
Stephens residents have the right to receive or deny visitors of their choosing as long as the visitation does not pose a clinical or safety risk for others in the community. Any person the resident chooses, regardless of legal relationship, is welcome. You are asked to wear the printed name badge from the AccuShield kiosk where it can be seen on your clothing.
An important note: If you are experiencing symptoms of illness, please consider postponing your visit. Or please wear a mask. Masks are available at the AccuShield stations.
Visitation to the Stephens Care Center (SCC) is available 7 days a week, pre-scheduling is not necessary.
