A  Memory Support Neighborhood

The Jameson House, located within Kendal at Oberlin’s Stephens Care Center, features a small house design that facilitates common household lifestyles. It offers memory support services for up to 12 residents living with mild to moderate cognitive changes, or dementia.  Our Life Enrichment Coordinator provides customized, purposeful activities as well as encourages meaningful interactions with friends, volunteers and staff.  Jameson House is designed to minimize distractions and alarms, promoting a pleasant and low stress environment

Grounded in our Kendal Values and Practices, we continually seek a better way to create “home”, filled with warmth, belonging and honoring the dignity and autonomy of each individual while nurturing community and connectedness, offering choice and ensuring that each resident, regardless of cognitive ability, remains engaged with the community as a whole.
