With Special Appreciation for Kendal’s July 4th Celebration

I highly doubt there were many communities that came even close to offering such a variety of options on the holiday for residents, staff, family and friends. It’s only fitting to give a shout-out to all those that made it happen.  (Apologies for any omissions). I’m going on record to say other communities asked me to share what all took place. BRAVO!  – Barbara Thomas

Meet the Executive Search Firm

KORA Council will hold its usual open meeting next week on Thursday, July 20, at 10:00 a.m. in Heiser Auditorium. The central item on our agenda will be an opportunity to meet and interact with Dan Deffet, Elizabeth Feltner, and Rachael Smith, the consultants from the Deffet Group search firm. Deffet is guiding our “Transition Team” in the search for Kendal at Oberlin’s next CEO. The meeting will be broadcast on KOTV, as usual, but everyone is encouraged to attend this meeting in person.

Fitness Center is here for You!

Hello Friends! If you have thought about getting into the pool, but just haven’t gotten around to it, now is the time!! It’s hot out and we have some great classes to try! We have 2 new water classes. On Tuesdays at 9:45 come try Flexibility in Motion, a gentle stretch and joint tune up. For those looking for a little more, come to class on Thursdays at 9:45 and try a S’WET class. This is a trademarked program that is a type of cross training. Come get fit and have some fun with these new programs. Call for more info or to let us know you are coming. 440-775-9851.

If water just isn’t your thing or if you are looking for an opportunity to slow down and recharge, come to the fitness room and try Stretch and Meditate. This class offers a full body stretch focused on relaxation and restoration. If you are interested in improving your balance, centering and grounding yourself, come try Tai Chi (called moving meditation) on Mondays and Wednesdays at 10 or Tuesdays and Thursdays at 4. At the end of every class, there is a 15-minute guided or silent meditation. Please call and let us know if you are interested.

JoyFULL Well-being Coaching is starting off with great success! Some of you have already received a packet of information in your mailboxes; if not, you will soon. If you are newer to Kendal, have some specific short- or long-term goals you need help with, want to make some life changes, or need some help getting motivated or to feel empowered to do your own work, give us a call. We can help 😊. Again, the phone number is 440-775-9851. We look forward to forming a long-term, deeply rooted relationship with you.
